A documentary following the co-curation of the 'Oramics to Electronica' exhibition at The Science Museum in London.
The exhibition centres around Daphne Oram's legendary Oramics machine, and features exhibits co-curated by BBC Radiophonic Workshop, EMS and a group of contemporary electronic musicians.
This exhibition focused on the work of three British studios that produced electronic music in the 1960s and 1970s: Daphne Oram, the BBC Radiophonic Workshop and Electronic Music Studios (EMS). At the heart of the exhibition was the Oramics Machine, a proto-synthesiser developed by Oram in the 1960s and 1970s.
Oramics to Electronica traced the history of electronic music and discover the boundless creativity of the musicians and engineers involved.
